How to Install Operating Systems Virtually Using VirtualBox

 

 


Part 1

Installing an Additional OS

    Open VirtualBox.
    • The options available to you may differ:

    Click New, then set the name, type, and OS.
  3. Set the RAM.

    Select CREATE

Part 2

Allocating HHD Space

  1. Go to Settings and click Storage.
  2. Go into the IDE controller and click the icon with a stack of CDs and a plus.
  3. Click Add Hard Disk.

    Now click Create new disk. Keep it on default, then set it to Fixed size.
  5. Set the disk size.
  6. Click Create and wait.

    Boot the VM up and press Cancel. Click on Devices > Floppy Devices and click Choose a virtual floppy device and select the virtual floppy. Skip this step if the OS is not on a virtual floppy.

    Go to Devices > CD/DVD Devices and click Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file and find the ISO.
